: ::::::::::: The smell of the dark basement made me gag. I could feel the damp air all around me. I knew this was going to be a long:night. I knew if I had no choice in the matter. It was tradition, if I hadn’t gone along with it I would have never lived it down. I had just joined the college soccer team and was really excited to have made it. I had heard some horror stories from other new guys about the odd ritual they were forced into when they joined the team, I was about to find out just what they meant. : ::::::::::: I spent the whole day at practice and class. I was exhausted by the time I hit my room at the dorm. I was looking forward to the upcoming weekend and planned to relax, and maybe hit a few parties. I was just settling into bed and dozing off when I heard the window slide open. I jumped up to face ten guys in ski masks. At first in my hazy state I couldn’t really register what was happening, and then as I woke up a bit more I realized it was my turn. They pounced on me quickly. They blindfolded me and tied my hands tightly behind my back. I was then dragged through the open window and thrown into a van. :
